REAGAN MIDDLE SCHOOL Winter / Spring Athletics Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a variety of factors related to this, Reagan Middle School will be providing ‘Instructional Seasons’ for volleyball, wrestling, and boys and girls basketball this year. These seasons will be shorter than normal and will focus on practices, skills, fundamentals, and intra-squad scrimmages. We will not be competing in games vs other schools during these shortened seasons. Coaches will be coordinating practice times and locations and these will be shared in the RMS announcements, on the website, and at the first night of practice. Cost is $25, payable to Dixon Athletics (bring payment to first practice). Participants will receive a t-shirt at the conclusion of the season. Because these are ‘instructional/intramural’ seasons, registration on 8to18 / physical on file / $50 RMS sport fees do NOT apply. Masks ARE required for all sports at this time. All IHSA/IDPH sport protocols and guidelines will be followed. Reagan Middle School - Remote Learning Schedule for Friday, February 5th, 2021 - https://5il.co/pcwe

DPS #170 will have a remote learning day on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021 due to the inclement weather. Students will follow their normal remote procedures. Check Seesaw and Canvas for Zoom times and work. For attendance purposes, students must check into their Zoom meetings. Stay safe and warm.

Dixon Public Schools will be dismissing at 12 p.m. today (2/4/21). There will be no afternoon PreK or ECE classes. Students will be fed lunch prior to leaving today. Please check our website for athletic and activity updates.

DPS Families - Based on the information discussed at the Board of Education meeting held on January 27th, 2021, we will likely be returning to 5 days of in-person learning beginning February 22nd, 2021. The official vote on this will be held on February 17th, 2021. If the board votes to return to 5 days of in-person learning that would mean that students at RMS and DHS would have two options: Attend 5 days a week in-person or be a full remote learner. If you wish to change your student's placement from in-person to full remote or vice versa, please contact the main office of the building at which they attend.
