Picture of Carnegie Hall balcony with people

Good Monday morning Jefferson students!  I have one more website I'd like you to explore.  First let me tell you more about it.

All of you remember the wonderful field trip we took to see the Nutcracker at the Coronado in Rockford: this past December for 2nd grade and back in 2018 for 3rd graders.  Wow!  That sounds like a long time ago!

The Rockford Symphony send me a website called "Musical Explorers".  It is from a place called Carnegie Hall, a beautiful concert hall where many musicians perform their first concert.  There's an old Musician's joke that goes like this:
"How do you get to Carnegie Hall?"
"Practice!"
So someday when you get to Carnegie Hall, I sure would love it if you let me know!

When you get on the website, scroll down to "Activities for Families.  Click the box that says "The Programs".  There are 6 of them.  You can explore one a day.

Start with Program 5.  Click on the musicians' picture and have fun listening, singing, moving and learning!

After you do a program, message me on Dojo or send me an e-mail   nwirchnianski@dps170.org  and let me know your favorite performer in each Program!

Have fun being Musical Explorers this week!    Ms. W
